ABOUT US

Hildreth & Co., Inc. started as an income tax preparation company in 1982.

Marc Hildreth started the company as a supplemental income source while working a full time job as the head of the accounting department for a Portland based business. Over the years, he added accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing services.

In June of 2015, Marc incorporated the business under the current name. The company moved to 29 East Main St., So. Paris in October of 2019 before downsizing to Marc's residence and having the staff work remotely in October, 2024.

Our business focus is start-up businesses or small businesses with overworked owners who have come to the realization that it is more productive for them to outsource the accounting/bookkeeping and payroll processing functions.

Our individual and personal service focus is helping people understand the complexities of personal finances, from budgeting to basic money management to the completion of their annual income tax filing.

We believe ourselves to be a financial resource for individuals and small businesses.
